Egypt lauds Somalia’s qualification to CAF championships second round

APA-Mogadishu-(Somalia) With the Somali Under-17 team due to play against Egypt in the second round of the CAF Under-17 qualifying rounds, the Egyptian football Association has congratulated its Somali counterparts for the team’s qualification to the second round of the competition.

In an official letter sent to the Somali Football Federation which the SFF distributed to the media on Sunday, the Egyptian Football Association said that it was Egypt’s pleasure to receive the Somali team in Cairo after it passed from the first level of the championships.

“We have the pleasure to welcome the Somali Under-17 team in Cairo and play here in Egypt,” the congratulatory letter to said.

“The Egyptian Football Association will be responsible for the full accommodation during your stay in Cairo,” the letter to SFF said.

Last month, the Somali Under-17 team qualified for the second round of the African youth championships after it defeated its Kenyan rivals and will play against Egypt according to CAF fixtures of the championships.
