Members of Parliament from Kenya’s North Eastern Province have spoken against residents of the North Eastern Province-Neighbouring Somalia- from associating with with Al-Shabaab militiamen, fighting to topple Somali government.The 13 MPs led by Defence Minister, Mohammed Yussuf Hajji said they will not allow the threat by Al-Shabaab, that they will over run the North Eastern.
The MPs spoke during a security meeting between religious leaders and politicians at Garissa farmers training centre.
The MPs cautioned Kenyans against joining Al shabab militiamen.
They said that security in Somalia has declined sharply. They called on the security officers along the Kenyan border to be on high alert to protect lives and properties of Kenyans living along the border.
