MOGADISHU (HOL)- Heavy fighting broke out around the Halane base camp which house diplomatic missions in Mogadishu.
Gunfire could be heard from the area where Presidential elections are schedule to take place soon. The base is located near Aden Adde Airport.
The militant group Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack noting it was targeting Western missions.
There was no immediate comment from the Somali government.
