An administration police and NYS officer were on Monday wounded after they accidentally stepped on an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Lamu.
The two were among the team constructing the Kenya-Somalia border within Usalama area in Lamu East.
Recently at least five Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) soldiers were injured after their vehicle was hit by another IED in Lamu on Tuesday.
Regional police commander Francis Wanjohi said the military tanker ran over the allegedly planted by Al-Shabaab around Ishakani area in Kiunga in Lamu East, wounding the five officers.
