The attorney of the company owning the Turkish-flagged ship "Horizon-1", which was recently hijacked by Somali pirates in Gulf of Aden, said on Tuesday that the negotiations currently held with the pirates would end soon.

Attorney Nilgun Yamaner told A.A that they reached a certain point in the ongoing negotiations, adding that she was hopeful about the talks.

Yamaner also said that all the crew members on board the hijacked ship were in good condition and they had the chance to communicate with their families.

"Company officials are trying to save the ship," she said.

Somali pirates attacked the Turkish-flagged Horizon-1 with 23 Turkish crew members on board on July 8. The ship was enroute to Jordan from Saudi Arabia. Pirates asked for ransom to release the ship and the hostages.
