LEMON GROVE: Somali families in the Lemon Grove School District are invited to a community-building event Saturday afternoon at San Miguel School.
The goal is for Somali families to get to know the district better and for district officials to get feedback on how their schools can improve the education of Somali students.
The event is from 2 to 5 p.m. in the school's auditorium, 7059 San Miguel Ave., Lemon Grove. The program includes breakout discussions, food and entertainment. Translators will be available.
