Norway has called a meeting of the Group at the end of April, and will there announce that it is turning the chair over to the UN Special Envoy to Somalia.

Undersecretary of State, Raymond Johansen says that Norway believes that the UN will be better able to achieve peace in Somalia, both because iit has the means, and also because the Special Envoy has stronger ties to those involved in the conflict.
