Assalamu Alaikum, this is an opportunity for you too children,

This programme is to teach you about all good things in life.

This is a blessed month called Ramadan. In Ramadan, we Muslims fast for thirty or twenty nine days. Allah told us to do so it is type  of worship and obedience. In this month, we do not eat and drink the whole day from dawn to dusk. As Muslims,

O’ children, you have to learn about your religion (Islam).

The obedience and worship of Allah, love of Allah and His messenger Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him.  Read and memorise the Quran. The Quran is the word of Allah. Learn how to pray. It is very important too that you are always obedient to your parents, love and serve them, be kind to them and listen to their words. Do not tell a lie, it is forbidden by Allah; do not cheat, it is forbidden by Allah; do not insult others, do not deceive, or hate others. All of that is bad. You have to be honest and kind to your friends. In this blessed month, you have to increase your reading of the Quran, learn how to pray, and do good deeds.

O’ children, you are leaders of the future. You are the treasury of your religion, country and people. You have to be good students, study hard; you should live in harmony, peace, cleanliness, clean hearts and good environment. You have to pray on time, read the Quran and be kind and caring to your parents, brothers and sisters. You have to be respect the elders and be good to your

Friends.  Listen to this hadith, of the prophet salallahu alaihi wasallam, it is about you. Our beloved prophet salallahu wasallam said: He who is not kind to the young and respect the elder is not of us. Now what should you? You should respect the elders, help them, The elders should be kind to you, prepare for you a peaceful country, where you can study, live in happiness and success.

In this blessed Ramadan month, you have to be very active in learning the Quran and try to memorise as much as you can. Do not forget to always pray Allah to make our beautiful country very peaceful and more beautiful. How much you miss to see your beloved, beautiful country?. So, please pray Allah to make it peaceful and prosperous. You have to always think well, think of peace for the country, study well, and be the best student in your school. Now what about sports activities and athletics?. Do you play football?, swim?, do some jogging early morning?,jump up and down?. Physical activities are very good. Do you know that the wise brain is in the healthy body?.  It is very good for you to schedule some time for sports activities. Do not waste your valuable time in useless, nonsense, chat and talks. Time is very precious and valuable, specially when you are young because you have long way to go to study, be creative, think and prepare for what you want to be when you grow up. Your peers back in beloved Somalia are working hard, studying hard, memorised the whole Quran and some hadiths, help their parents and friends, yet they do not have most of the facilities you luckily have. If you waste all your time by just playing around or games the rest fo the day after school, sleep late, do not do your revision, you can not challenge your friends back in Somalia!. You will loose!.Get prepared  to beat your peers in the contest as I know they will do so too.

During these blessed days of Ramadan, I will tell you some nice morale stories, it is about the secrets of success in life. It is about love of Allah and His prophet salallahu alaihi wasallam, be obedient to your parents, love them, be kind to all people, hate war and love peace, be kind and caring to the animals and care about the plants and trees. As a fulfilment to your promise and duty, I want you to learn this lesson about how to pray. It is homework, till we meet next time for another episode of Ramadan children’s educational programme, take care.

Wassalamu Aalikum
