Mogadishu (HOL) — The Banadir Regional Police Command has reported the arrests of three men implicated in the murder of Abdullahi Abdi Isaak, an 18-year-old student. The suspects include a Somali National Army soldier, highlighting the case's severe implications.
The individuals apprehended are Abdi Ahmed Adow, Farhan Adan Noor, and Ahmed Mohamed Raage, also known as Qataatow, who serves in the military. They are accused of participating in a fatal shooting on April 10, 2024. The incident unfolded around 11:45 PM on the night of Eid al-Fitr in Deniil district's Eriya El-Das area, near G/Baley, where assailants fired at a police vehicle. During this attack, Isaak was fatally wounded.
"The General Unit of the Banadir region has successfully detained the suspects linked to this egregious crime," the police command stated. Authorities have committed to a rapid and thorough prosecution process to ensure justice is served. Further developments are anticipated as the investigation progresses.
